The Story Behind This Painting

With this 50 × 70 cm acrylic painting on cotton canvas—finished with an oil glaze—I sought to create a powerful messenger bridging heaven and earth. It carries a divine message into the world, reminding us that God's promises are timeless.

To me, the antique-style background symbolizes that truths valid long ago have lost none of their significance today; they remain alive and relevant.

In this piece, water represents refreshment, renewal, and new life. It reminds me that God desires to grant every person new strength, hope, and perspective each day. It is precisely this daily renewal that I wanted to make visible in this painting.

While painting, I consciously worked with strong contrasts. The bold impasto application gives the horse an almost tangible vitality, while delicate glazes lend the wings lightness and transparency. This blend of strength and gentleness brings the image to life and imbues it with a sense of movement.

For me, this work is far more than abstract-realistic wall art; it is a visible parable of hope—a moment poised just before a revelation. It serves as a reminder that every person is promised new strength, confidence, and divine companionship each day.

My Inspiration

The idea for this painting arose from a desire to depict the connection between heaven and earth, light and darkness, and the visible and the invisible.

I envisioned a winged horse as a divine messenger—powerful and majestic, yet filled with peace. In my mind, it resembles an angel traveling between heaven and earth to serve humanity and remind us of God's presence.

With this work, I invite the viewer to pause for a moment and remember that hope, renewal, and divine closeness can be experienced today.
